The car in question is a 530d LCI with swirl flaps deleted but otherwise EGR and DPF on.
I hear that whistle when accelerating lightly at low RPM ( < 2000-2200 ) only, and I also find it to be quite louder when cold.

The car doesn't burn any oil at all (5w30), no smoke and all the horses seem to be there It's just that whistle at low rpm that is bugging me.

What are your thoughts? Should I save up for a turbo repair?
I also heard that by replacing swirl flaps with blanks it can make the car do that whistle, is this correct?

I don't hear any whistle noise. I heard a lot of banging

Not the best quality, I agree, but listen closely, especially to the last 7 seconds and first 3ish. There is the most pronounced. I believe you will be able to hear it.

Maybe this is a better one? I've heard a lot of BMWs and VAGs whistle like that today for what is worth 😂
