I have an '05 with nav, us spec. When i was at the dealer, a couple of E60's could use the radio when the car was off. Mine wont. Is there a way i can make it do this?

The one in the showroom could do it, but the ones on the lot could do it too.

In the showroom makes sense, since they are usually not on their battery.
I need to try this on mine, never did...

It only goes to the radio, nothing else can be accessed.

I think you can play what ever was last on. Just press the round dial by the CD slot.

I've been able to play CD's!

My 10 month old son 'discovered' it last night when I had my engine off. I had my engine off in my lot and my kid reached out and pressed the knob. The next thing I know, my radio's on!

Ya its a feature... you can use the radio with the ignition off for a max of 20 mins then it will automatically turn off. Its convienet when you need to step out of the car and you have a passenger there but dont want to leave the key in the ignition just so they can use the radio.

I forget how limited the functions are but I think its almost fully functional as in CD AM FM and all.
