Does my 2004 545iA have an LSD?

Would like to know in advance before I risk getting stuck somewhere. Happened to me once with a RWD Mercedes I owned. Parked with one wheel on the road and the other on the dirt. Took a lot of rocking back and forth to get going because the wheel on the dirt spun itself like crazy. It'd be nice to know that wouldn't happen in this car, but if I at least know it would, I can watch out for that.

My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i - no mods. Pretty basic really. I mean it has tires, windows, and a sweet look, what more could a man want? Honestly, I'd like to improve the sound system mildly, and possibly find a worthy engine mod that would increase my BHP by 100 without giving an arm and a leg for. I don't think it's out there, so I'll stay stock and love driving my 530i.
Limited Slip Differential = LSD
From what I've come to understand the answer is no - however it does have Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC). DTC I'm thinking is what you're looking for and citing from BMW, "Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) allows for sports-style driving dynamics even when DSC is controlling stability and when wheel traction is higher.
Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) is a sub-function of the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system that can be turned on and off. DTC has two major uses: to regulate traction and to enable sports-style driving while providing active stability control.
If the front wheels are stuck in snow and cannot spin properly, this leads to slip on the rear wheels (when they spin faster than the front wheels, generally a sign that performance has been exceeded) and DSC acts to change engine output: the power needed for forward movement is reduced. Switching to DTC has a positive effect on this situation, as traction is improved without a loss of power.
When DTC is on, it helps the driver alleviate the situation enough for DSC's measures to become effective. The driver retains complete control over the vehicle." - http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/technol...on_control.html

Glad I at least know I don't have an LSD.

unfortunantly only the ///M series bmws have lsd's (some older models did have it as well, prior to 02 i think). Quilife(sp?) does lsd upgrades for our cars, look to spend about 3 large.
