I need to add a camera detector to my car, something like the Roadpilot Go with the built in GPS antenna, however before I order can anyone confirm or deny it works ok with the BMW windscreen, I also have the H.U.D screen too, but can't see that being more of a problem but if anyone knows any different would love to hear.

Thanks

Guy.

Heat reflective screens can sometimes be a problem as they reflect the GPS signals, but otherwise no problems

Hopefully this will soon be a thing of the past. SIRF, the GPS chip supplier of many GPS devices, has launched last summer the SIRF III chip which no longer has these limitations. Few models are now equipped with this Garmin Nuvi, Tom Tom One, they should soon make their way to speed camera location devices. Mind you one can easily use the above models for that purpose too with a simple file download, a better option IMHO as the road angel and other road pilot devices are pretty basic for the similar price to a portable sat nav...
