Thumbs up

Dear Forum:

...I want to purchase from Garry of BMW of Newport the 2007 M5 Blue and Red stitch steering wheel, but BMW Parts tells me that my 3-2004 build date only allows this M Sport Steering wheel, with the two must "thumb bumps" for me to purchases the 32 34 0 396 32 : M Sports wheel, VIN # B804485. (It only has the Black Stitching, and NO Blue & Red Stitching)

QUESTION: Does the Sport M steering wheel look like and is the same size as the 2007 M5 Steering wheel? The best
price I can get this for is: $516.00, does anyone know if this is a fair price, or is it an BMW Over inflated Price? Also my BMW dealer wants $210.00 to install it for me.
Also has anyone seen this type Sports M steering wheel and Round airbag in person before, and if so what did you think about it?

Which BMW OEM M Sport steering wheel Part number do you recommend for a pre-2005 530i?

Thanks in Advance!!

is that a price of $516 with or without the airbag???

the m steering wheel is definately nicer than the regular triangle steering wheel if thats wat u have...its smaller, thicker and has a better feel overall...compared to the 2007 M5 wheel which i'm assuming has paddle shift and your car being a pre-2005 530 i'm guessing doesnt u would have paddle shifters that will be non operational...

$516.00 is Garry of BMW of New Port's M Sport steering wheel price after the 25%
discounted price for us e60 members.

Good luck, and hope this helps!

ok so its jst the wheel right? not the airbag aswell...cuz i was quoted a price of about $850 for jst the airbag by 2 different bmw dealers which effectively put a damper on my M steering wheel dreams...couldnt justify nearly $1500 for jst a wheel...

I am sure you can fit the M5 SW (with blue/red stitching) on your 04 car (Like mind ),
try to find one on ebay.

The leather was different between M5 and M sport,
it feel a bit softer and using higher quality leather
