I am going to take a European Delivery of a 2008 535i in July, so I have a few weeks more to finalize my decisions. My exterior color will be Platinum Gray. Currently I am planning on gray leather interior with the dark poplar wood trim.

But that is the color combination I have in my current 528i, and I am thinking I want a change. I'm usually not a big fan of black leather. But I think the gray leather with the black anthracite bamboo would look really sharp. It does on the BMW web page visualizer.

Does anyone have this combo? How do you like it? Got any pictures?

Hi I dont have the dark poplar I decided to go for the brushed aluminium. Here are a few of pics. Excuse the black mats provided by the lease co. They have been replaced with the new set in grey I found in the boot!

Cheers
Darren.

I don't know but with gray interior I don't think there is much of a decision. Both poplars are brown which matches absolutely nothing else on the entire car. I wouldn't consider anything but the bamboo.

Well, I have the dark poplar with gray leather right now on my 528i, and I like it well enough, but I bought that car used and didn't have a choice. So now that I have the opportunity to pick my choice I can get it just how I want it.

I tend to agree with you that the brown matches nothing else as I have it currently configured, so that is why I was going with the dark brown. But I think the black bamboo really compliments the gray and black interior very well. I'm almost convinced.

No, not unless she also knocks you on the head with a black bamboo cane. Then I could tell if they look good together.

(Shall I contact your wife?)

I have gray Dakota with black anthracite maple in my '06. I really like the colors and the entire enterior, from the seat belts, steering wheel and dash all cooridnate nicely. Except for the wood's grain there is no real difference in the bamboo. I do not have any pics right now but if you like I can post some tomorrow.

Hey, at least you have hair. I seem to be going for the brushed aluminum look upstairs.
