Does anyone demand their ride NOT be washed when left for service?

Indeed. Don't let them attempt to clean her post-op.

The SA's normally then tell me "It's free". O the cheek.

I am still shocked that at some dealers they have an automated carwash they just stick the cars through. Bring on the swirl marks, holograms and other scratches.

I notice by your signature photos you take particularly good care of your car. It has a very deep shine. Looks amazing.

Thank you sir!

Yes - that'll be $700 for a new battery, but don't worry, we've thrown in a free swirly car wash.

WTF.

Mine has run it through their auto wash even after being told NO WASH and bringing the vehicle in fully detailed!
I now add a post it note on the dash.
They still list it on the invoice, I wonder if BMW reimburses them...

No one ever washes my car... of course last time my car looked great - no one touched it. When I washed the car I noticed some nice scratches on my rear bumper (which was repainted just a week before).

Seen one chap who was dressing a car on the forecourt drop a cloth, look around to make sure no one of importance was looking (I'm guessing), wave the cloth in the air a few times then carry on using it! WTF?
