My '06 has sport package with sport seats. Comfort seats were an upgrade. Either way, this car has neither! So I highly suspect it is not a 550.
Not sure how that conclusion was arrived at.

that is NOT a sport model, it has the standard SE (UK) bumpers, no side skirts and it has the standard hex steering wheel, i would also think it has the standard suspension, and not the sports pack.
definatly a 550 but a standard one (called the SE here in england) not the M-sport.

Hi,

Just remember that the US Sports package has nothing to do with the M-Sports package that we know here in old Europe

Agreed - although I don't know much about US Spec. Am I right in saying that the 'US Sports package' actually doesn't have the 'M-Sport' bumpers etc. we have in the uk?

However, I thought the 'US Sports package' on the 550 did - just not on 'lesser models'?

We need some from the US to confirm.

The US sports package on earlier model E60s doesn't have the M Tech kit like the M Sport Pack in Europe. Although the more recent LCI 550 models do have that M Sport pack as an option now in the US.

Judging from the pictures, I agree that many things, ie. the shadowline trim and the sports steering wheel... are added on later.

Does look like it's sitting a bit high. Here are a few pics of my old 545 with Sports Pkg when I first got it, for comparison:

New car? hahaha

That was my old 545 before I modded it and sold it and picked up the M5.
