While the big 'ole V-8 might take a 5-series in a straight line, I think if you found one at a track day and gave it a go, you'd find the Dodge would fade away pretty quickly. There's so much more to our cars than simply depressing the accelerator. Getting the thing slowed, negotiating turns, and then back up to speed quickly is more of what these things are all about. Driving these types of vehicles the element where they shine, is like driving an entirely different vehicle. I intend to take my wife's 535 to the track once it get a little more broke in.
On a related side note: My wife and I were on the freeway together yesterday in our own cars(well, mine's a truck...anyway...). She passed me, and then I saw a freakin Toyota Sequoia or Land Cruiser with like 24's on it trying to get her to run with it. I found that a lot more weird than I did funny.

You're really 44? You sound like my neighbors teenage son.
Yep. Really 44. And a grandfather to boot. Wife is 10 years younger than me and I have a 4 year old son who makes me take him golfing every Sunday after church. He really keeps me young.

That is why I always say that HP is over-rated. HP is all about marketing. Give me a car with above average power, good balance, great handling, and comfort (the BMW recipe) and I am very VERY happy.

Blasphemy!! Then again, a person with a 6 cylinder would say that, wouldn't they? That's like a guy with a small one saying that large penises are overrated. Ask a woman first!

I had a Audi S4 for 3 yrs (V8 340 HP) and I would take this 6 cylinder TT over that anyday. That being said... there is something special about the feel and drive of a BMW. When I turned my 330Ci in at lease-end, the guy at BMW asked what I was getting next. I told him the Audi S4 to which he replied ... "we will see you back in a couple of years" Sure enough, I am back with BMW.
