Cool

I managed to brake off a special bolt, meant for tightening the minus cable into the battery. Shaped like a T.

So I asked the local stealer about the bolt if I could have one. They replied that the bolt can't be bought separately, only with the whole cable set, which is 168? !!!

BMWish I say, arrr!

So I have to figure it out myself, no problem, but anyways.... what the hell?

There must be some wrecks where you can get the bolt from...

That's exactly what I thought too. I read about this on m5board, where someone had the same problem, and he got the bolt from some wrecked system for free.

And sorry about the too long title. It should stand "Do you want to hear something stupid, funny and definitely something BMWish?"

A trip to Home Depot should do the trick. I hope you have one where you are.

That's a bummer...I doubt that you'll be able to get something like that at Home Depot, etc.

Just curious, what part in the following, if any, is that bolt from?

I think it belongs to part one, but you can see it here better:

I managed to modify the bolt so that it holds. However, if I could get the right part, that would be better of course.

What a stealer. I guess the financial crisis also hit BMW, so they are now searching creative ways to rip off good honest customers
