I was eastbound (Toronto's Hwy 401) in an exit lane just before an exit ramp. Three live lanes to my left travelling at 100km/hr+ (65mph). Closest lane (#3) had a red minivan that apparently lost control on a bright sunny dry day and ended up hitting me hard in the left rear side bumper and left rear wheel. A perfect hit that sent me spinning 360 degrees out of my lane across live lanes two and three. My left front fender smashed into the right rear bumper of a small silver SUV. The impact stopped my forward spin across the live lanes (2 & 3). Car still running so drove to the side of the road.
Driver of minivan went to hospital by ambulance, her truck was towed away. Small SUV driver was upset and her truck was towed as well. My wife and I were totally unhurt and with permission I drove myself to the auto body shop.
Despite our double hit we were both fine and we are convinced the car was a large part of it. Minimum $5000 for cosmetics, and $5000 more for ruined left rear suspension.

WHoa that sucks, glad you and the missus are okay. Will the other drivers insurance cover the damage? It looks like a lot more than $10K to me, those were some hard hits.

The entire reflector was still intact with only rub marks (no cracks) in the clear plastic. I removed it for a souvenir.
