do you lose your cd changer if you add an aux input? 2004 545i

i have a 2004 545i and i want to add an aux input. do i lose my cd changer or is it another option that shows in the idrive? i would like to keep my cd changer. i dont want the ipod hook up as it eliminate the changer.

You need Retrofit Kit# 65 120 153 502 (auxiliary connector retrofit for external audio sources) and have it programmed at the dealer.

You won't lose it if you only add the Aux input but you do if you add the iPod integration. And yes for just the Aux input, you'll get an Aux option in iDrive.

I'm sure you are right but when i asked about this at my local dealer, I was told that the CD changer will have to be sacrificed to enable the AUX port!!! mine is an e60 2004! I'm wondering if they had their wires crossed?
