Do ya? I'm running tint, no front plate, and using dealer plates on the rear (all illegal in CA). They only give you a measly fix-it ticket. Been fine for the last year and my old car (2 years). Knock on wood.

Do you still use your dealer plates and for how long? Why?

I still have mine on and it's been about 3 months since I got the car. I'm thinkin' about ordering a custom European license plate. Do you know if that's illegal too?

for sure the car without plates looks good. anyway, yes it is illegal to be running with a euro plate. i have one though, but i keep the CA plate on the windshield. ive been told both ways: that having the CA plate in the windshield wouldnt stop the cops from giving me a ticket and that it would be fine. its been almost a year and i never had a problem with having my euro plate in the front the the CA plate in the windshield. for sure cops have seen it, but i have seen their eyes go from my euro plate to the CA plate so i guess im fine.

as for dealer plates, i remember a member from the wheel power meet had his on. he said he has had it for almost 3 years now. he just barely drives his car and keeps his car extra clean. pretty cool.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone had any experience using these lic plate covers from Bavarian Auto Sport:

I had my dealer plates on for 7 months...then I put on F1 motorsport plates, a week later Burbank PD pulled me over. I had no valid registration with me. The cop ran my info, told me to put on the plates, and that was it-no ticket. I got lucky I guess.

I know someone that doesn't even have dealer plates on his car. It's been that way for about 1 year now. He's got pulled over a few times but always gets off without even a warning. Those of you going to the Wheel Power Meet will know who it is. Keep your eyes peeled.
