I've got the squeaking/popping sounds around my doors that are so prevalent with E60s. I'm thinking about having the new door seals installed to fix this, but I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's had this done as to whether the new seals are a true fix or not. Thanks.

My 2004 sounds like an old wooden boat, so I took it to the dealer today. They had to order the revised door seals which will take about a week.
I'm not optimistic that this will solve the problem, though. My '01 330ci creaked and rattled despite more than 5 visits to the dealer.
Although they make more noise than a Honda Civic, I still love these cars.

I had all 4 door seals replaced with the new parts last week. So far all creaks have been eliminated
The job took about 2 hours in the Dealers.
I would say go for it. Its all warranty work anyway
