I just realized that, regardless the lights are on or not, the display panel in the middle of the dashboard (date/time, temp, gear, OBC, kms/miles ?) seem to be brighter when the daylight is strong and vice-versa. I knew this for the i-drive screen, not for the dashboard display. Didn't find out anything in the manual.

Am I right or do I need to change my glasses ?

You're right. That display changes intensity based on the light hitting the light sensor (behind the rear-view mirror).

You can easily see it happening if you're driving down a road with street lights spaced evenly apart. As you go down the road, the display will "pulse" in time with the street lights...

Yes, there is a "eye" for this, and it reacts to headlights on/off, too.

Until recently, I did notice this for the i-drive screen, not for the dashboard
