Disabling seat belt later in 2004 545i?

"SEAT BELT ALERT" = correction in the title.
Is it possible? I just picked up the car yesterday. The seat belt alter is making me go mental. I love the car but this thing reminds of a rental vehicle.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

You can use Search with word "chime" and You notice that we have had quite lot depate of this subject. For and against. BTW it's safety thing waht can save Your life.

) ...you can buy a spare buckle and plug it in, so the car thinks you are buckled up.

Thanks guys. I realize that not wearing a seat belt is a safety concern however its my personal preference. I choose not to wear a seat belt. I paid over $80k (CDN) for this car and I'll drive the way I want it.
Wondering if they can do anything about this at the dealership? After all I'm sure its as easy as adjusting a setting on their software.

You can open it yourself and disarm it permanently (do a search on it) or you can buy a buckle that you plug in and leave it in all the time.

. back to topic, we have newbies ask the same question every now and then. i personally don't really have problem with this but i wonder why bmw doesn't change it. i know it's a safety feature/reminder but all other cars don't have this annoying, for some, chime. well, probably this is one of the features that makes our cars unique .
