Following on from the thread about dirty headlights, I took a few pictures of my headlights to see if I could maybe get BMW to replace them underwarranty.

Anyway I got a bit carried away with the pictures, don't think this is gonna do much for my case, but it does show how damn pretty the 5 series actually is!

Are those stains actually on the inside of the lamp?

If they are and it's the result of condensation INSIDE the lamp housing it's not the appearance that you should stress but the [potential] harm done to the electronics inside the assembly that should warrant its replacement.

BTW, that's a pretty neat picture [stained headlamp cover aside]!

 

All those stains are on the inside absolutely, I washed it today and it steams up all over like a camouflage pattern. I tried to photo the misting but it hasn't really come out.
