I have about 140 songs on a mp3 CD. The problem is that after song #98 (or so), the player refuses to play any more songs. I can hear the player try to read the CD and after a moment, it will skip to the next song. Again, I can hear the player attempt to read the CD and, again, after a moment, it will skip to the next song. The problem happens in both the CD and DVD player. I can read the CD on my PC and I can play all the mp3s on a portable mp3 player. I have made 3 different CDs and they all show the same problem. Is there a limit to the number of songs the player can access? Do I need higher quality blank CDs (I am using CDs that come in those bulk packages)? I am using Nero and have tried both data and mp3 modes. I want to see if others have this problem before taking the car in to the service center. If you can play more then 100 songs, please tell me your recipe that you use to make your CD. Thanks!

Several years ago, some CD players I had were not able to play past a certain point in a CD because they were too long. It tried to access them but just ended up skipping them, ultimately going back to the beginning of the CD. I wouldn't think this would be a problem nowadays, but maybe it is. The only solution I can think of is to not make the CD so large.

A 650 owner is reporting the same symptom in his CD player as well. Same CD plays perfectly in the NAV DVD slot.
I have about 660megs on a 700meg CD and it is working so far, almost to last song. But many songs are long so I do not have more than 80-90 song titles (cuts). I believe mine are at 192kb MP3 format.
