Different countries, different names

It's interesting to me the different names that's been given for the same thing in different countries.

For example, here in South Africa we have the option of having Pro Logic 7 instead of Harman Kardon Pro 7. And our vehicles come standard with a Motorplan, our term for the full maintanance warrenty package. For the first 75 miles that is.

Do you guys in USA also have the choice between a Standard E60 and an Executive E60?

The 'Li' (Long wheel base) is only available for the 7Series all over the world except China where they have a Li version for the E60 as well... and yes packages vary from place to place..for example the Cold Package isn't available here in Pakistan because it's not so cold

I didn't even know you had a "Cold Package"! Just goes to show the differences. As a matter of interest, what is the "Cold Package"?

cold weather package includes integrated headlamp washers and heated seats. Also may include fold down center arm rest that has a ski bag

oddly I have heated steering wheel, heated seats, fold down ski pass but no headlight washers?

There are quite big equipment and even engine differences between US/UK/EU/SA and Asian E60's.

Check them out by using bmw. pages.
