I have the "thick" steering wheel. I have th CWP. It is almost neccessary here in Michigan. Winters get really cold!

If someone could post a picture of the steering wheel that comes with the cold weather package, I'd really appreciate it. I just ordered my car 2 days ago, and am thinking of adding the cold-weather package if it means I get the thicker wheel. (Previously I thought the only way to get the thicker wheel was to order SMG.)

When I was at the dealer the other day I saw a 545 with a thicker steering wheel and metal trim. It was not an SMG, so I thought the wheel was just a nice little "extra" that came with the 545. Now I'm thinking that what I was seeing was the cold-weather-option wheel.

This sort of thing is exactly why this forum is so great.

P.S. Oops, nevermind. I just searched and found this thread

with this picture:

Oh well, there goes another $750.

i think by looking at the pics of cwp's steering wheel and standard steering wheel to tell the different is difficult. but once you have a grab, you can tell the different right away .
