Differences between US and Euro versions?
#1
Hi all,
I 'm from Europe, and want to buy some re-imported E60 from United States. Do anybody can help me? - What is different between US-market and Euro-market E60 models 525, 530, 525xi and 530xi? Lights, dashbord (destination in Miles, temperature in F, fuel in gallons) something else?
Sorry for bad english
Andrei

The miles and temperature can be changed back to C degrees and Km.

For LCI models, the tail-lights are different. as in the indicator lights are amber in EU models and RED in US models.
Also, for the LCI models, US has only three ranges [excluding the x(all wheel)]: 528 (3.0 liter), 535 (3.0 liter), and 550 (4.8 liter V8)
i cant think of anything else right now...there are certain technical differences mainly for US standards (like charcoal filter etc.) but i don't think those are important for your purpose...

I also think the MSport version is only available in a 550 in the US whereas it is accross the range in other markets. The US sport model (outside of the 550) does not have the M body kit, M Steering wheel, Suspension etc. Also the power output of some motors may be different (lower) in the US compared to the same engines in Europe (certainly used to be the case) and there are no diesel models sold in the US.
The M-sport wheel has the ///M logo and black trim, while the sport wheel has no logo and aluminum trim. Otherwise, they are identical.

Technically, the US 550 ZSP has the sport wheel, while the M-sport has the M-sport wheel, which is not the same as the M5 wheel. (whew!)

the M-sport wheel is also thicker than the sport steering wheel. so its got a much nicer and sportier feel to it.
