Default Difference between a 545i sport and the M-Sport

I have a 545i/6 with the sport package and I'm looking to replace the front struts. RealOEM and Penskeparts.com both have 3 types of struts for my VIN:
  1. the normal strut
  2. sport strut
  3. M-Sport strut
01LEFT FRONT SPRING STRUT
1
03/200631316766993$338.20

01FRONT RIGHT SPRING STRUT
1
03/200631316766994$338.20

For vehicles with
M Sports suspension
S704A=Yes
01LEFT FRONT SPRING STRUT
1

31327905313$404.63

01FRONT RIGHT SPRING STRUT
1

31327905314$404.63

For vehicles with
Sports suspension settings
S226A=Yes
01LEFT FRONT SPRING STRUT
1

31316766997$370.98

01FRONT RIGHT SPRING STRUT
1

31316766998$370.98

how can I tell what strut I have (I assume that I have the sport strut), but how do you know for sure? Was there a specific M-sport package that was different from the regular sport package? I assume I have the sport package, as my 545i is lowered, firmer, and has the staggered 18's on it, or is that the M-Sport package?

Thanks

You can call the dealer and ask with the last seven of your VIN. Why not go with some other shocks or even better coilovers?

I was looking at other shocks (either Bilstein HD's or Sports, or Koni Sports), as I don't need to get OEM. But I want to make sure I get the correct type for the car. I only want to replace the fronts at this time and keep the ride quality the same.

Coilovers are too much for the car, as I'm not going to track it.

I will go to the dealer, but I'm curious if anyone knows the difference.

I believe msport was technically only available in 2010.I believe it goes like this first there was the sport package which was just the suspension and black trim, them with lci came another sport package that came with the body kit also and finally in 2010 there was the msport which came which the above and I believe black headliner and ///M logo door sills and maybe a few other things. This is all to the best of my knowledge somebody else maybe be able to be more precise.

Please excuse any spelling/grammar errors this was typed on a cell phone.
