Hello

Would any one know if BMW is planing to bring the diesel 5 series to North America/Canada, also for those who own the 535D what is your take on the car, performance etc. :

So far BMWNA has not mentioned anything to us at all about the 535d. It very well would be my next car because eveything I read on it says that it's phenominal.

I was in LA last week on vacation and saw a huge billboard advertising the BMW Diesel cars Big picture of a 5 series), so i guess they must be on there way.

thanks for the feed back, I was looking at the 335D, however too small for my liking. The X5D looks good and drives phenomenally well for a SUV, however not in to SUV's.

The current model 535d now has 300+ bhp....getting quite serious now, and you can easily remap them to provide lots more.....

Mine is 284bhp, and is plenty (considering our lack of open space over here). 1 month in, and still enjoying it.... :-)

I test drove one when I bought my 5er. The car performed quite nicely - not much difference in feeling between the d and i engines.

The 535d is not sold in the US. Did you test drive it in Europe or did you test drive the 335d?

It still has 286bhp been no increase inpower since the LCI release.
