On my old E46 330Ci i got 46,000 miles before changing the rear tyres they were down to the wear indicators which was 3mm as per German standard. The fronts were still going strong when I traded in the car at 62,000. I am sure the rears were in excellent shape as well, although I had replaced both due to punctures.

I have spent some time at the track so I can't really say anything about NORMAL tyre wear.

I've got 11,500miles and the rear nearside is about 0.5mm 
and the rear offside 1mm (too many roundabouts with the DSC off 
). Fronts are about 2mm.
Just got a pair of PZeros delivered yesterday to replace the Dunlop RFT's. I'm hoping for a few more miles from these.

My Ride: Oxford Green E60 530D with tuning box and all the toys!
My orignal Dunlop runflats lasted 11,000. I have changed to Michelin Pilot Primacy and they have some way to go yet after another 11,000 miles.
