Well my project is up and running but has come to a dead stop , Progman v32 is refusing my car due to the car having newer software, it was updated with ISTA/p not long ago.

I new I shouldn`t have had the car updated when I did. Ah well.......

 

Yep, that's what the dealers tell owners when there is a flaw introduced with new software - 'ya can't go back'. I thought there was a work around on that but do not remember the process. I do remember it was really complex and that was on their old SSSr2 stations. Not sure it still exist under ISTA/P. You may not have sufficient tools in your setup to do that anyway. 2.38 is out on DVD (released in July), but nothing has changed on E6x since 2.36.1. E6x software is getting pretty stable now, been two DVDs and three online releases with no changes for our cars. Other models not so stable. I think 2.39 on DVD should be out later this month or early October.

 

The main reason I set it up is because I wanted to change the car/key memory settings for key fold mirrors and the like but I guess it will not happen now.

 

Well hopefully you can try it on a couple other E60s and report back.

Ive spent hours trying to SSS to install a shame it will come to nothing......


I know I got the update when I reported slow IDrive and Nav operation... but I know I would rather have the update then not... but this is bad news.

Does this apply to NCS-expert too? you could try using that to code the folding / auto dimming mirrors.... happy for you to read and clone mine if possible but I know I have door modules controlling the mirrors so may not be much help...

 

no NCS expert can do coding as it talks direct to the modules but it`s very risky to use.
