I need to decide between Dension( $450) or Speckdock ($599),,,,,

cause I have non navi model and I wanna use my Iphone 3GS like navi.... then probably specdock,but that $$$ between those to cca $150,,,,

anybody help me decide? thx

Go w/ Dension ... I have non-NAV and been using GW500 for a long time w/o problem w/ all gen of iPhone ... not sure what you mean of "use 3GS like navi" but no I don't think any ext. Nav can be use on your iDrive if that's what you mean but it'll give a full contol of your iPhone song on the iDrive plus more like USB. Keep in mind it is audio input module so you'll not see video or the apps. such as Nav on the iDrive screen.

I never seen Speckdock module ... but I like to know what is $150 price diff. for.

Get the dension, it gives you full Ipod as well as USB and Aux input support. I love mine

Owww I've seen the site but they have no info to show of what it's look like on the iDrive or the physical module (make you wonder why not) other than the cabin w/ an iPod on a dock ... that look better not cost $600 ... anyway not sure what's you wanted ... display an iPhone apps (like TomTom) on the iPhone itself and you can view it when it docked like that (kinda dangerous 'cuz its down below) or try to feed it into iDrive display which will not gonna happend.

I'm pretty sure that package INCLUDES the dension along with the dock. the kit with the OEM ipod kit is the other part # referenced at the bottom.

This is correct. The spec dock adds another 150. It's worth it. I have one, just the spec dock.

I have the BMW OEM iPod adapter in the glovebox, and then I plug in an old iPod Photo and leave that permanently in the glovebox and then update it with music occasionally.

I then have the spec dock in my ashtray and it's wired up to my aux input. Then I can use the Pandora with my iPhone. I tried using Nav with it, but to be honest, you aren't going to get very good GPS reception down that low. With the iPhones, you have to have it close to the windshield to work decent.
