Hey Guys!!! Im new to the forum, so be easy on me....

I have installed my Dension Gateway 500 to my 2005 545i w/ CCC unit Navigation and 6 disc changer. Its working great and plays my iPod but there is not text in the display!!!

I spoke to the Dension rep and he said I would need to have my computer flashed for the KMP3 changer? Not sure what he was asking to have done, but when I try to explain it at the dealership they either 1. don't want to touch it cause its aftermarket, or 2 don't know what im talking about.

So I am asking if you guys know how I this could be achieved by directing me to a previous post (I have searched here and google) or know someone that can do this for me in the Seattle area.

Does you in-dash CD player play MP3? I mean if you burn regular CD with bunch of MP3 files will it play it?

OTH you can also have your dealer code it to enable for iPod module as that Dension GW500 will show up as such module.

No, it doesnt play MP3 files on the in dash one.

Is there some sort of specific request that I need to say to the dealer in order to have them understand what needs to be done?

Either ask the dealer to enable MP3 on your in dash CD (yes there's SIB for that) or have them do enable coding for iPod interface module.
