hmm these few days when I start there car theres a prolonged pause between when it cranks and the engine turns over. I had the battery replaced while it was under warranty about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago so it shouldnt be the battery right? So far the car and engine turns on every time and the pause of turning the key hearing it crank with no response then crank and the engine turn over, usually only happens if I havent turned it on for lets say since the night before and its morning now, but then lets say I drive then park and get back in within an hour or so it turns and cranks perfectly normal. Any idea? Car is MY 2005 530i with just about 50,300 miles on it =P (and I was planning to trade it in within a month or so lol maybe the car knows =P )

My car is an 2008 with around 29k miles and sometimes I get a similar issue of trying to start the car and getting the cranking noise for like 5-10 seconds until I just push the button to shut it off. Try it again and it starts up perfectly, have this happen about 1 out of every 20 or so starts usually when I haven't driven the car for a couple days. No idea why this happens either

Hmmm very strange... I noticed a few more members having a "delayed start" issue as well recently what the hell is going on lol!
