Hey everyone, my name's John and I just joined the forum. I gave up my '03 CLK55 AMG for a roomier '05 545i sport 6-speed. Drove the BMW and it felt like a BMW. Loved it and traded it immediately. I painted the front kidney grills black, tinted the windows 35% all around expect for rear window which was 20%. I have a fullt set of ACS front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler, roof spoiler, and trunk spoiler on its way. Tires are brand new so I am using it up until

Now back to topic

How many people debadged their cars? I used to have an Evolution VIII and I debadged the whole thing since I really did not like Mitsubishi but loved the evo. Now my BMW is used so I am afraid it will leave a slight 545i on the trunk. What do you guys think? And I am not sure if I really should debadge it. Give me some feedback. Thanks.
you should be able to take it off without any problem. Then use a good paint cleaner/compound(if necessary) to make it look like it was never there. :-)

Leave it alone or someone will think you are posing!
Why would anyone think that? I would say a large percentage of cars are delivered with badge-delete option (no debadging even necessary) and many are higher end.

It's really a personal decision. If you like the look, go for it.

It's not irreversible.

That's the trouble with asking this question really. Unfortunately, this debate will never reach a conclusion.

It's a personal thing. I personally prefer the clean look without my numbers and don't care whether someone knows what I'm driving or not. I KNOW and that's all that matters to me.

Try debadging..........If you don't like the look, stick the little numbers back on

+1 I debadged my car and it looks nice.

Snce it is a 545i moded, many fools (from subaru STI, Acura TSX, 300c, etc... ) think it is a 525i and they got smoked

I just debadged my 535xi. I like the way it looks alot better. As soon as I get my mods in I may put a Hartge badge on to replace it.. who knows. I say do it

I was thinking the same thing...I don't want to race at every light so I think I'll leave it on as a warning

i honestly think the 545 emblem would call for more races since ppl know what youre packing under the hood, and would want to challenge it

personally i love the clean look of debadged bimmer, its so clean, and as long as you dont do poser mods its all good, hell even my friend debadged his 335 and he smokes all the cars that try to best him thinking that he drives around a 328
