Hello all, I'm thinking about debadging my 525. My car is a lease if I do this is it easy to rebadge it if I return it at lease end?

Yes...the emblems are simply attached using double sided tape. Relatively easy to get off...and very easy to stick back on

If it is that simple, I may be tempted.

Suggestion, use a hair dryer high heat. They will come right off. I have done it a couple of time works well. I always put the badge on the folder for the owners manual. You will always know where they are and they can be reused.

I was told that dental floss also works well to remove it.

Usually it?s best to do one number/letter at a time. Use a hair-dryer to get things nice and hot (this will make the adhesive pliable)?then use the dental floss behind the number to pull it loose.

You can then use your finger/thumb to rub the majority of the residue off. Follow up with a small amount of goo-off (or similar) to get the remaining residue off?and you?re set.

Well, the deed is done. One letter at a time with dental tape after the hair dryer treatment was a breeze. But removing the residue was a hassle. Nothing like removing bumper sticker residue. Generous portions of Goo Be Gone with a lot of fingernail finally got it off. Probably 30 minutes of rubbing, soaking, and peeling. Then I put a glaze finish to match the rest of the paint, and can inspect my handy work in the morning.

I personally think cars look so much better debadged. I encourage everyone to do so
