i was driving down the road....i saw pothole after pothole...dodging them like a pro, per usual...whats that i see?? i really big, nay ginormous one right next to a smaller one...i chose the lesser evil swerving to miss the earth crater known as pothole #1 and hit the smaller one next to it (my only option)....sigh...but to no avail.

both rims are bent and leaked air all night. i woke up w/ two flats...not to mention a leak in my passenger front tire from a bad/damanged tire bead. that makes 3 out of 4 wheels no longer holding air.

whats the lesson here kiddies? those 20" wheels look amazing...but are only practical if you live in southern cali...Michigan potholes are world renowned...just ask my wheels, they'll vouch.

check the pics...

Call Weldcraft and they'll straigthen them for $60-$80 per wheel. You'll have to break down the tires first, but they do a nice job. They fixed my 20" i-forged with the same tires you have. Unfortunately, two months later the potholes won the battle

Ouch! Good luck with the repair!

I can see your rear tire is 295/25 R20. This (potholes) is the reason why I chose 275/30 R20 for my rear wheel. I just don't have the wheels yet...
It would be interesting to see a pic of a pothole that can make that kind of damage. Just to get an idea what kind of slalom driving I will have to do in my town!

i noticed your valve stem is on the inside of the rims.
do you have to pull your wheel off to add air?

nope. these wheels have valve stems made of chrome facing the outside of the wheel as well as regular rubber ones on the inside. to be honest the metal ones i dont like too much...you have to position the air pump nozzle just right to get the air flow correct. sometimes i just reach around the tire and fill it via the rubber stems...

i dont know who designed them that way. but the front of the wheel looks amazing. u would think that the valve stem is one of the rivets (its a three piece wheel).

That sucks and I feel you pain. Well you had less pain than I did because my rim split in half.

This is the reason why I sold them. They were like rubber bands. I was worried about the wheel protection. I am much happier now with the meatier series I am running. Anyway, the rims look repairable. Those are some nice wheels. Also, sorry to hear about the wheel bead, After talking to the last tire guy, I truly thought they would have held up. Anyways, Good Luck!

I also am cursing the MI potholes. Because of them I am riding on some bent Iforged!
