might be my 2nd scotch that's doing it! :-)
here we go - I know car is staggered F/R. let's forget the fronts, period. I replaced the 2 rear tires. the replacements are NOT the same size as the original REAR tires. they should be 275/30/19. they put on 285/35/19.
My paperwork has a few lines regarding tires. 1 line says : "mount and balanced 2 Continental 275-30-19 Tires on the rear..."
2nd line says : "Replace 2 rear tires p check force variation and balance / / CONTISPORTCONTACT2 P285/35R19X - See
Arnie"
the actual part # shows 285/35R19 99Z
Sooooo, my guess is they couldn't get the right size, and assumed the slightly larger tire would be fine. I don't really believe this, because I have full faith and trust in my dealer (known them a very long time). could just be a tech confusion. who knows, but I'll go tomorrow and deal with it.

IMHO the size difference is "significant" - about 1/2 " larger rolling radius. Aside from speedometer error this may cause onboard electronics to have a headache ... esp if they are comparing front and rear tire speeds ... might cause your stability control system to think something is slipping or out of wack!

Mine are 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 CSC3 on m166's.... I think the dealer defintely screwed up by using a 285 with the other tire being 275... I'm sure the car's computer would be confused...

The rolling radius of your wheels has been increased from 323.8mm to 341.05 mm, so the new wheels have an increased circumference of 108.39 mm or 5.33%
This will mean that your speedo is reading too slow, when you are at an indicated 70mph you will in fact be doing 73.73mph.
In UK it is illeagl to have a speedo which reads slow, they must be either accurate or read fast, wouldn't be surprised if it was the same where you are.

Well I think it's unanimous.. you guys are definitely well respected by me, and I will be going back. called dealer today, and they only have 1 team on, so it looks like Monday. these aren't stocked tires, so we'll see.
This disappoints me, because the cushy drive was so noticeable, I immediately knew something was wrong. And yes, they do look a slight bit different (taller)..
Thanks all.
