I have a cutom 520 liscence plate that is VERY hard to get from the government. Long story short, It's a big thing in my country to have such a liscence plate. But when people see my E60, they gooo woooww nice car, nice liscence plate then once i tell them its a 520i, they go "ohhh,i''m sorry", so i always say, "once you get a better car, come and say ohhh, till now, please keep it to yourself"
so should i keep the liscence plate with the badge or debadge? but if i de-badge, people will think im ashamed of my 520, and thats a BIG NO NOOOO.
you guys vote.thx

I hope im not disrespecting anyone that drives a 525, 520d, 530 etc, but I have notice even in the Audi circles that more times then not when someone de-badges their car its usually a lower end of that model. When I had my A4 almost more then not when some de-badged their Audi it was a 1.8T and not the 3.0.
My only assumption for the de-badging is that owner is ashamed that they got the lower end model, similar to guys that Badge their 545 or 550 with an M5 badge after they put the M5 conversion kit. Thats so fake!
Honestly if you do that for that reason then youre a wanna be.

I cannot believe that you can be so ignorant. Just because you drive a V8, you think you can be so rude to other members here???
Totally unbelievable -- you should be banned!
Just kidding IceyTys -- I thought I'd give a little something for the popcorn eaters, seeing as they are all being so patient and waiting for a reponse like that

saudi doesnt tax cars.Lebanon has a 30-40%tax on cars(depends on the car).So im mostly saving 40% on the car.plus some legal documents and some contacts. I get to keep my saudi car in Lebanon tax free.

Actually with VW/Audi the OPTIMAL motors are the 1.8T / 2.0T because they are turbo. Chip upgrade only and most are faster/more powerful than the larger motor counterparts (except S4, RS4, etc). I've owned many vw/audi cars and I wouldn't get a non-turbo V6 audi/vw if you paid me!!... the 1.8T / 2.0T are lighter more fuel efficient and chipped make more power. What I'm saying is that none of them are "ashamed" of having 1.8T/2.0T because that's THE motor to get...they are doing it for asthetic reasons. I personally never debadged mine because I am a huge fan of 1.8T / 2.0T they are awesome power plants but to each their own.
Take my 2007 A4 2.0T for example. Stock output was 200 HP and 207 TQ
$600 APR flash bumps power to: 241HP 292 TQ (weight 3428 lbs)
The "better" model 2007 A4 V6 has 255 HP and 243 TQ (weight 3649 lbs)
Why would anyone be ashamed of having 50 FT LBS MORE of torque, almost 200 lbs less weight, and better fuel economy
