My dealer said that if you start changing these options (including follow me home) then the DRL will stop functioning (on Swedish cars anyhow) because of a
SW fault. This will be fixed in version 17 or 18 (June/July). He also said that there were some customers with E60's who they had to reload the entire SW to get the DRL working again! So, "Finger Weck" (hands off)!!

Ah, much cleaer now. I am pretty sure that I had no option for Daytime Running Lights under my 3-Quick Flash. It wasn't even greyed out...it simply wasn't there.
Now I'm wondering if activating something else will bring the DRL option back in?
Arn?
This must be an add-on from a newer software version. I don't have it with my car, but I am still back at 13.x software. Having 16.x installed next week....be interesting to see if the DRL option is now available!

"Home Lights" are not DRLs. I think home lights are what we call "Pathway Lighting" and all it does is allow you to pull back on the turn signal stalk (like flashing the beams) when the car is off and the lights will come on for whatever duration you have set on this screen.
It looks like the DRLs are still something that only the dealer can configure...correct?
I just now saw the "Daytime Running Light" selection on the screen. (WAKE UP Rudy! -- I was focusing on what was highlighted in the pic and not what was below.)
The quick flash has nothing to do with it, I was simply saying you need to pull back the turnsignal stalk (as if to flash) with the key turned off to activate the home lights (pathway lighting) feature. It's logical that the DRL setting would be under the "lights" menu...
Its not! Its an item under the lights menu. It looks differnt than home lights because home lights is asking for a variable, whereas the others are either on or off.
I think the DRLs are country specific and can be turned on or off by the dealer. E.G. In Italy DRLs are required by law.

Yes, I know in Canada that they require DRLs by law but I'm nearly certain that the DRL option below the quickflash was not there on my car and it was an early March production car.
