With the time change coming this weekend is the car smart enough to update the time? It knows the date so it could be smart enough but was BMW?

Europe changed last week, NA changes this weekend ... I do believe that the two are 1 week apart ... which really causes us problems with my EMEA clients for a week

Well considering that not all parts of the US participate in DST, my guess is they didn't program it in. I was in Germany with my ED car last week when the time changed and the clock didn't change, but then again it was a US spec car.

It doesn't update automatically. This is one thing that is absolutely easier to change using the E60s i-drive than on any other car I have owned. It is totally logical compared to having to try to remember which buttons to press, for how long, in what order in older cars.

My $26 Timex can change automatically, but not my $45k automobile. So sad...

Don't they suppost to be updating with the Navigation system? I remember last time when i crossed California/Arizona border, the car update the time automatically just like my cellphone.

Maybe they update automatically with NAV but I definitely had to set the clock back an hour in October. Could also be automatic in newer software versions and I had mine updated in January from it original early version. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
