Hey, I may be a little late with this one...but I just learned of this Davide Arcangeli guy who designed the 5 Series under Chris Bangle's direction.? (Anyone have a photo of him?)? I guess he passed away due to leukemia.? ? I just thought I would mention this in honor and memory of him and his creating the E60 and what eventually made this website exist!?

I was able to find this link: http://retractable.free.fr/uk/index.html

The designer of the very cool Honda spider is Davide Arcangeli, when he worked for Pininfarina. If I get more infos on him, I'll post them.

I was researching some unrelated stuff and stumbled upon the fact that Davide Arcangeli was in fact the designer of the e60's exterior.

Just wanted to resurrect this thread in view of e60's production being close to completion.

Alot of people didnt like the e60 when it was launched, I loved it when i first saw it. there was nothing like it on the road at the time, now is a different story everyone is clambering over themselves to copy it.

RIP: Davide Arcangeli.

Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

here is a short paragraph in an article from forbes about davide arcangeli.
I strongly disagree with the article about the black and blue E60's losing their shapes and characteristics. I think black E60's look sharp and probably the best color.
