My in-dash was skipping as well. BMW replaced when I brought in for warranty service.

Depends what you mean by "skipping".....I understand a cd skipping but you mention the radio also does this ?

Not sure if this is relevant, but my previous 04 with standard audio + 6 disc changer used to momentarily drop the audio on either radio or cd. This turned out to be something to do with the radio traffic reports. Turn off TP and see if it makes a difference.

I found mine did it frequently when doing a long trip. Dealer says it was the radio being overly sensitive to traffic report broadcasting signals...so in other words it would "think" there was an incoming report, mute everything and then unmute when it realised there was no report..make sense?

I play burned cd's and no problems but now I noticed that always skip the track #2 and displays a message. S.A. told me its not covered under the CPO.

I had a problem with nav on a CPO car, and while it wasnt covered, they ended up splitting the cost with me on some sort of "preferred customer" deal after I called BMWNA to enquire further. Might be worth the price of a quick call to customer service...
