The Darkside......

Very nice stealthy / aggressive looking AMG.
I know it's not fair to compare a W212 E63 AMG with an E60 M5, (as you're comparing a new platform Vs. an old one), but how does the AMG compare against the M5?
When you come back to the lightside, , I will be keen to get your thoughts on the W212 AMG Vs F10 M5!

The e63 is leaps and bounds faster through the first 3 gears, but once you reach 4th and onward the BMW's v10 really shines and smashes through the gears much quicker.
I really enjoy both cars... and I really dig the aesthetics of the new e class. But I will be back in a BMW sometime in the future

Even in the AMG and M models the same stereotypes stay the same. BMW feels more sporty while MB is more luxurious. Both cars are absolutely amazing to drive and the torque on the AMG is monstrous. However, every time I see an e60 M5 I find myself wishing I were still driving the M. The main thing I miss is the SMG transmission to be honest. While the AMG tranny works extremely well and shifts as fast as lightning, it still does not yield the amount of control I want out of the vehicle.
