A recent discussion brings this poll to mind. I have had one CIP update, I think. I only think I had an update because I am not sure what I started with. I apparently was updated to 19.01 or 19.02, but my dealer said it was 19.01.01. My only evidence that I had an update is that my Steptronic appears to shift better (but my observed improved shifting is not big; thus, it may be wishful thinking more than anything else) and I had some problems getting my FM presets reset (it seems like I had fewer problems originally, but I might even be wrong here too). Assuming I had an update, then I would say that I came out slightly ahead because improved shifting is important to me, while as long as I get my FM presets set, then I am not overly concerned about having a little difficulty doing so.

I have no axe to grind--nothing to prove. But, I am curious about your experiences with CIP upgrades. I know that my survey leaves some room for the addition of related info. For example, you may think you came out behind simply because the update eventually yielded an improvement, but you had to have it reinstalled 6 times to get the improvement. So, if you fall into this sort of boat and indicated that you came out ahead in the survey, then you can rethink things and, if effect, change your vote below. I'll keep track of changed votes. And, others may say things that would cause you to change your vote. Please indidcate clearly if you want to change your vote.

I gained Perspective View in the Nav, and the little letters after each name in the phone address book for Work, Home and Mobile. That was a real benefit. I also noticed the bluetooth works on my Sony T637 when the keypad is locked. Previously I had to unlock the keypad. Keeps getting better.
