Last night I got distracted trying to park in front of my in-laws when all of a sudden I heard a grinding and growling sound that just made me cringe. Stupid me kept on going instead of stopping right there and backing out. I don't know how many times I dropped the F bomb to myself as I turned the engine off. I just sat in the driver's seat for awhile thinking "what the hell did I just do?!"

I inspected the damage and it rashed about 1/4 of the rim

Does anybody know a great wheel repair place that can work with polished lipped rims in Los Angeles area?

BTW, my wheels are DPE R16 V2. I'll post pics up when I take them. To be honest, I was in denial at the time and didn't want to take any pictures.

Also I saw this DIY. However, I don't want to do it.

My friend repairs them but He is on oc Fullerton area. I have not actually seen his work, they do it for tire shops and and small dealers. The issue is getting the wheel to him for a period of time depending on the work required.

I think BradsBMW also has a guy he really recommends but that guy is in the inland empire I think.

I imagine I probably would have to have the tire taken off first or does he or other places do that?

Sorry to hear that man. I am always so careful about curb rashing my rims. I let my mom move my car into the street once, and she ended up curbing my rear wheel, I was pretty pissed, but I don't have anything like DPE's

I'm sorry to see that balbs. That makes me cringe when I see that on your wheels thinking the same thing for my wheels. Man sorry to hear that, hope you can get that fix to good as new.
