Hey man, I need the Accord to go to the L&L's that opened in downtown Manhattan (64 Fulton St.). The streets are so terrible down there that it's always a major headache to drive through there with 18" wheels.

Curb rash repair - check this out.

http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/wheel-r...cuff-repair.htm

I'm going to wait until the spring to touch up a couple of scuffs.

Capebimmer:

Did you do this repair? If so,,,,UNREAL!! IT LOOKS NEW AGAIN!!!

Great Job (the second time around, LOL) Even the first with Pete's inpatients it still looked good, to the curb rash.

You ought to start a business,,,or have you?

Ho brah, in 'da east coast, we get 'da kine snow and I no like 'da snow get on 'da kine 5er, eh? (Forgive me for my poor, poor pidgin' -- haven't spoken like a "local" in over a decade now, and am told I "talk like a haole" by all of friends back home. *Sigh*).

For whatever it's worth, my car hasn't been driven in snow yet (nor in the puddles of salt that form afterwards) and I intend to keep it that way. I was thinking about getting snow shoes, etc., but I love this thing too much to have her get all that disgusting salt and ice on her. The L&L's comment was just tongue in cheek. Sorta. The Manhattan potholes are bigger than anything anyone in Hawaii can imagine, and they love 18" wheels. Last time I was home, one of my buddies warned me to slow it down on some road, saying that it was in rough shape -- however, the condition of that road was comparable to some of the smoothest stretches on the FDR in NYC. At some point, it makes sense to have a $4,000 beater for city use.

Hi E60holic:

What do you have 19s or 19s? I am very tempted to go back to 17inch for the pothole reason!

I just had mine on my SONAR balanced great on my e60 for a week, and then going down the road and WHAM a stupid pothole, and it got into my new TOYO Proxes 4's radial belt!

I am not a thrill seeker and do not play games with my tires, and I was going to purchase a new replacement tire, but as I was getting ready to order a new tire, the tire store manager advised me it was covered for free under my Road Hazard warranty! My tire manager friend saved me $200.00+!

Eddie aka Presley 348

PS,
Before anyone here at the e60 forum purchases any new wheels from: "The Wheel Exchange", contact me first privately at: Presley348@aol.com and I might can save you some future new BMW wheel headaches, and a ton of: $$$$$$$$$$.
