I was careless, pulled up to a curb and heard that gut wrenching sound... Alas I have about a 7 inch curb rash on my 166 rims. It's pretty superficial, not a deep gouge, but nonetheless I want to get it fixed. My right front has a few other nics and dings as well, so I figure I'd get both fixed.

I live in LA near olympic and robertson. Anyone know of a place? I think mobile would probably be ideal since I wouldn't have to take the wheel off get it balanced/etc. I guess if I can drop the car off for a day somewhere that'll work too. I kind of want to spend less than $100 each

Thanks

I have someone I use. I live very close to you. They are called wheels on wheels. Ask for Jesse his number is 951-534-3335. They only charged me $50.00 and they will come to where ever your car is at work or home etc. Hope this will help.

Does anyone know of a similar service in the Toronto area? I scratched one of my style 138's transporting it in the back of my son's pickup when I removed the winter wheels.

its possible that your dealer may be offering wheel repairs as another option. another option would be a local tire shop. this happened to me before with the wheels. my friend knew a guy at the tire shop about 5 minutes away from me. they sent out one wheel at a time and it only took one day for each. when the wheels were back on the car, looked good as new. good luck with your wheels, and be careful with curbs.

This is why I love this board! I found a guy Spencer 310-529-4076 he said $60-$80. $50 seems like a better deal

$100 for two rims is a no brainer..

Thanks!

How is his work? Color matching? Does he refinish the whole wheel? or just that section? Is the finish smooth or rough?

I ask cuz $50 sounds like a really good deal. I found a place that wants $100 a wheel but that was steeper than what I wanted to pay for my light rashes.

The work that they did was great. After they left me they were going to repair a wheel on a rolls royce phantom. Give them a call it was well worth it. Everything came out smooth and the color match was perfect.
