The button on my cup holders are sticking in, making it a pain to close them and it is really starting to piss me off. Any suggestions to fix them? I have tried lubing them with liquid wrench - no luck.

Sounds like you got some sticky soda leftovers in there...
I'd try cleaning it by using luke warm water with maybe a dash of washing-up liquid. So that the sticky stuff gets dissolved - then I'd rinse it off with water.

i agree.. i have to boys and the soda is what makes it stickiest! warm water.. hold a rag underneath it so you can saturate it without getting all over the place.. keep pressing the button while cup holder is out so you can get some soap in there as well..hopefully this works.. GL

Sorry no food or drinks in my car for any of my passengers Nobody is going to respect the ride as much as the owner, especially not any little ones. Just say no, girl!

Tell your wife you want to show her something cool. Ask her to hold out her arm toward the iDrive screen. Then ask her to relax her fingers and open her palm. Place cup in center of palm and ask her to squeeze with moderate pressure. All fixed.

Kidding aside, that happened on my E39 and it turned out a tiny piece of plastic inside the mechanism was broken that I didn't/couldn't see. Ask the dealer to swap for a new one?
