please tell us about them - they look slightly odd (the drivers one)

Also if the front passenger and driver have a can of coke each, will the front passenger feel strange that there is a drink positioned on either side of them ? ie one drink above each knee

 

hi, I've ordered my car with this option (95? in Spain), after spending a while in a 520i that had them. Yes, the driver one is a bit of a stretch/reach (I'm not sure which word to use here), although less than I thought judging by the pictures, but of course that depends on the length of your arms. Besides, they look stronger and of better material than I had feared, according to what I had read in a car magazine. As for the passenger I think they far enough from each other, so I see no problem, only if he/she is very tall. And, just in case the driver is too busy to drink, one can always drink from his-her drink once yours is finished

 

I can report that the quality of the cupholders in the E60 are way better than the crappy ones found in the E39.
The cupholder for the driver do look a bit odd and it?s location is a bit akward but it works ok in my opinion. I can also report that the new cupholders works with both cans and bottles. The old cup holders in the E39 sometimes didn?t hold full bottles very well. The cupholders in the E60 is smiliar to the ones found in the Z4 if you are familiar with those.

 

the functionality of the holders is okay - there is however one thing that annoys me: the material of the cupholders is different from that of the dashboard - this means that they "jump in your face" - hope this gets better in the future.
