Cross Pen/Pencil from BMW as Recall "Sorry"

My Ride: #1: 2004 545i; 6-speed manual; Sport Package; Mystic Blue with a gray leather interior and Anthracite wood; CWP; Logic 7. #2: 2010 535xi Touring; Automatic.

In the mail today I got a Cross pen & pencil set with a BMW roundel on it, as an apology for the engine recall in July. I mean, the recall was bad; but I'm glad they did something about it. Not that I needed another pen and pencil.

Did others get this, too?

I refused the car and ordered a 2005, so I haven't received anything. The car I ordered has been suck in the VPC for 3 weeks awaiting emmisions certification.Go Figure

I had taken delivery two weeks before when the recall was announced.

You mean "broken car+pen/pencil" doesn't equal "great car"??

I got mine with the purchase of the car. The salesman actually went and got me the set and I used them to sign the papers. Also he gave me a HUGE BMW umbrella and 3 days later I recieved in the mail a big tin of Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookies.
