Bummer man. I hope you're OK. I crashed a 911 back in '95 and it cost $11K to replace right, rear quarter panel and engine lid with whale tail. German cars are expensive to repair. G/L with the insurance.
But good luck with the insurance brotha. My insurance claims took over 1 month to do it! hate insurance.

Crashed like it says shop says repairs will be in the 6k range..fenders bent hood caved in a little bit my grills are completely gone and the rest of the bumper is just scratched up..and my radiator was left untouched..it sucks owning a BMW and having to pay so much for the smallest things..the bimmer will be sleeping
i totaled my parents car a while back and i wasnt even on the policy for the insurance. they covered everything and even a lawsuit.. they had geico. dont think it matters as long as the car is insured.. then again every insurance is different ... if you need airbags i got some available for cheap that im trying to get rid of. let me know. 6k sounds like alot of money by the way... i would see how much your autobody guy is getting the parts for and you might be able to get parts cheaper from other sources.

What insurance company do you have that it takes a month to get a claim settled? My last car wreck happened on a Friday afternoon, I was in a rental car a few hours later, claims adjuster approved the repair first thing monday morning, car was in the shop that afternoon

Your name does not have to be on the insurance as long as the person in who's name the insurance policy is in gave you permission to drive the car, you are automatically covered. definately fight that because they are just trying to get out of the claim

I found out today that i am covered after all
The insurance adjuster said the total damage estimate was $10200 when my mechanic said $6000~...insurance dude said both headlights need to be replaced but to me they looked in fine condition besides being disconnected from their original spots..so idk what the deal is but as long as the car runs the same when i get it back i can honestly say i dont care...the shop owner said that the car had frame damage and that i will be the first subject for some new $20k machine he bought; 3-4 weeks until completion..well see
