Default Crankcase tubing? Anyone know what this part is???

So I had a code thrown the other day which I posted about, 29DA (Crankshaft sensor, segment adaptation). So today I decided to take out the sensor which by the way was a complete pain in the ass. I'm gonna try to clean it and reinstall it and if that doesn't work I will order a new sensor.

However the issue I'm posting about was regarding the Oil Catch Can my brother in law had installed for me. After removing much of the cowling and seeing where the tubing led, I noticed the red tube he installed going into the OCC was going into a black valve or tube. The tube seemed to have been broken by him, which I didn't know anything about. I took some pictures of a part of this tube, anyone know what it is or what part number it is? I plan on uninstalling the OCC and putting the OEM part back in. From looking at it I'm guessing it also has something to do with the Crankcase.
