I recently had sat radio installed in my 545. I didnt have sat prep so i had a custom car shop install using an FM direct connection. Now I have a cracking sound coming from my speaker no matter when i turn it on sometimes it just stops working altogether is doesnt matter if its on the regular radio, cd, ipod or the fm sirius. I snooped around the trunk and it looks like they tried to draw power from the amp at first to power the radio tuner...... I remember reading that the front speaker on the drivers side was the red wires, am I correct? If so it sure looks like someone attached a power splice and then took it back off. I dont know what to do about this problem. Help?

I had the same issue however my problem occurred from a loose wiring harness behind the CCC unit when I installed the AUX input; had nothing to do with the amp.

The 'left' speaker wire colors from the amp in the trunk are yellow/green (+) and yellow brown (-). The 'right' speaker is blue/red (+) and blue/brown (-). The power to the amp is red/green.
