I was at the local BMW dealer and they had a sign posted regarding 6 series ellipsoid wheels I think style 122? Don't remember. Anyway, they were found to be defective causing them to crack. I don't remeber the terms of the settlement, but I think they would either replace or reimburse your expenses on wheels. Maybe the 124's are soon to be in the same boat?

I replaced one, fixed another. Many others had similar problems. I'd like to get reimbursed. The things are fragile and possibly even dangerous.

Yea I've owned 2 previous cars on coilovers w/ low profile tires in NYC and never had a problem. You mean to tell me a BMW's wheels are that fragile? I was pissed when I saw the bends and cracks and I drive like a grandma on the streets smh

I hadn't heard about the flaws in the flower power 121 wheels, but maybe some of the 6-series guys have. The 124 cracking issues have been around for years. It seems inconsistent though, as some have had no complaints at all.

The 124's crack on the inner lip. RFT's seem to make matters worse.

I've got a set of 123's and they've been repaired MANY times. I think I've had each one of them repaired at least once either for cracks or bends.

Honestly, I can't say whether I blame BMW for it or not, but I know that sure as heck, no other wheels I've ever had before EVER cracked or bent.

Three out of four of my 124's are cracked. Three month ago one of the cracked rims got worse to the point that it could not be
fixed. So I was left with two options. Option 1)buy a new 124 and run flat tire or option 2) buy new aftermarket wheels and
all season tires. I decided on option 2 and I purchased a set of bayern multi wheels and continental dws tires. I couldn't be
happier with the ride quality and appearance of the wheels. However I will most likely replace the damaged 124 and purchase a
set of winter tires.

Was at my dealer today and saw the same sign on the 121's. Was the result of a class-action lawsuit...
