Certified Pre-Owned - means BMW dealer does a set of specific checks to bring car up to CPO standards. You can get the list of checks and form they use if you do enough google'n. If a car is CPO, then you get another 2 years of coverage of specific items with a $50 deductable.

I wouldn't buy a used Bimmer that was not in the CPO program.

Gives me enough time to fix things neglected by the previous owner or lease holder.

Good or bad.... you decide: one of my cars I purchased should NOT have passed a CPO inspection. I purchased the car anyway (out of state), took it to my local BMW Service Advisor, and since it was a CPO purchase - he corrected several things after the fact free of charge.

quick question. u guys think the stealership would get upset or butthurt if i came to them with a list of things to fix?
my CPO is up at the end of the month and i was thinking of getting my car inspected at an indy shop and if there is anything that needs to be fixed i would take it in and hopefully its coverd and getting it repaired

I think a better question is why would you be concerned one little bit about how a dealership would feel if they were asked to honor the terms of a contract.

To not do this would be foolish. You paid (in one way or another) for the coverage. I do this with all my cars.

Just make sure that the list of stuff the Indy shop gives you is actually covered by the CPO warranty, otherwise you could be in for a shock!
